C is a general-purpose high level language. It was developed Dennis Ritchie at AT&T Bell Laboratories in 1972.
C++ began as an expanded version of C. The C++ were first invented by Bjarne Stroustrup in 1979 at Bell Laboratories in Murray Hill, New Jersey. This new language was initially called "C with Classes".
Oak programming language was developed by James Gosling, Patrick Naughton and Mike Sheridan at Sun Microsystems, in 1991. Oak was renamed Java in 1995.
